I’m Joshua Grange, a lifelong professional touring and studio musician for artists like kd lang, Beck, Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakam, The Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow and many others.
One of my biggest obsessions is old-world bread baking using natural yeasts (AKA a starter), organic flours, and the magic ingredient: time. It takes time and attention for the dough to become alive via slow fermentation, but in the end we are rewarded with the most delicious food of the gods. Truly.
I invented DOAP™ while baking countless loaves for friends and neighbors. I needed a better way to deal with my eternally sticky dough hands - without ruining endless sponges and wasting tons of flour, water, and time.
After many iterations and a quest to find the very best quality materials made in the USA, I’m excited to finally be able to share DOAP with the world.
DOAP has worked for bakers around the world, and I’ve been grateful to see it find a home in the workflows of professional kitchens and home bakers alike.
(And yes! I still work as a professional musician here in Nashville 🎵)
